The Raymondville R-VII School District will be closed tomorrow Wednesday, January 19 –Friday, January 21. This is due to a couple of factors. First, there is potential for the weather tomorrow beginning around noon that might cause difficulty getting kids home and the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for Thursday and Friday mornings. Second, COVID cases have continued to surge with our students and staff. We continued adding to the list as the day went on.
Please be careful over the next couple of weeks. While we hope this passes quickly, please work to ensure the health of yourself and your children. While we will not utilize AMI or Alternative Methods of Instruction during this 3-day break, we may begin that in the near future if this trend continues. At this time we will plan to return to school on Monday, January 24th.
School will be canceled tomorrow Friday, January 7th.
The Raymondville School District will be closing school today, January 6th, due to the impending weather during morning bus routes.
Reminder: We will hold a meeting to review our Safe Return to In-Person and Continuity of Services Plan (SRCSP), Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 in the library. The current plan can be found in the tab at the top of the school's website.
Christmas spirit week will be December 13th-21st. We hope to see everyone join in on the fun!!!
Raymondville middle school students participated in the 2021-22 Patriot Pen essay contest. Three students placed at the local level and will be advancing to the state level competition: Jasmine Smith (3rd place), Wyatt Elliott (2nd place), and Brianna Smith (1st place). Congrats to these students for the hard work!
The Raymondville School will be hosting a Walk-Through display for Veteran’s Day on Thursday November 11, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 A.M. The students have worked hard to make a display of various items for your viewing as well as our cafeteria staff will be serving breakfast beginning at 8:30 A.M.
The middle school basketball game scheduled with Phelps R-3 tonight is canceled.
On Wednesday, November 3rd, the Raymondville School District will be in a soft lockdown from 12:00 to 1:00 to participate in a safety drill with law enforcement.
The Raymondville Pumpkin Patch Field Trip will be canceled because of predicted weather tomorrow, October 28th. School will dismiss for parent teacher conferences at 12:30.

Tomorrow is picture retake day. If your child wasn't here on picture day they will have their photo taken tomorrow. If you need an order form, we have some in the office.
