🌟 February Student of the Month 🌟 Our character trait for the month of February was Empathy—showing kindness, understanding, and compassion toward others. Throughout the month, students who demonstrated empathy toward their classmates and school community were recognized with a High Flyers’ Club card. From those students, one elementary and one middle school student were selected as Student of the Month for truly standing out in their ability to care for and support others. 🏅 Elementary Student of the Month: Bristol Dixon 🏅 Middle School Student of the Month: Bryleigh Walker We are proud of the way these students model empathy and help make our school a kinder place. Congratulations, Bristol and Bryleigh!

We are proud to announce that Tracy Hughes has been named the new Superintendent/Principal of Raymondville R-VII School District for the 2026–2027 school year! Mrs. Hughes is a proud Raymondville resident and brings 18 years of experience as an educator and administrator to this role. Her dedication to student achievement, strong leadership background, and commitment to serving her community make her an outstanding choice to lead our district forward. We are excited for the vision, experience, and passion she will bring to our students, staff, and families. Please join us in welcoming Tracy Hughes as she begins this new chapter of leadership and service to Raymondville.

📸 Picture Day is Coming! 📸 Raymondville School picture day will be Monday, March 2nd! Picture forms will be sent home with students tomorrow, so be sure to check those backpacks! We can’t wait to see all those big smiles! 😁

We had a great evening at the Patriot Pen Banquet in Licking, MO this past Monday.

Students wrote essays on the theme “How Can I Show Patriotism and Support for My Country?” and did an incredible job expressing what patriotism means to them and how they can make a difference.

We are proud to recognize Kendrick Thibodaux for his outstanding achievement! Kendrick was recently honored by members of the U.S. Army from Fort Leonard Wood with a Leadership Award, receiving the Integrity Award for his exceptional character and leadership.

This recognition reflects Kendrick’s dedication and commitment to doing what is right—even when no one is watching. We are proud of the example he sets for others and how he represents our school and community.

We are so proud of our Raymondville Archery Team for competing in their very first tournament as our school’s first-ever archery team! 🎯 They represented our school so well and showed true Eagle Pride.

January Character Trait of the Month: Perseverance During the month of January, our students focused on perseverance—pushing through challenges, staying determined, and not giving up even when things get tough. 💪✨ Teachers recognized students who demonstrated perseverance in their daily actions, and from that group, one elementary and one middle school student were selected as our Students of the Month. 🎉 Students recognized for exhibiting perseverance in January: Samuel Wagner, Cash Creek, Grayson Ramsey, Savanah Gale, Maggie Edgerton, Blake Scheets, Bryan Kane, Corbin Ingram, Huntley Drury, Eden Jones, Adilyn Birdine, Kenadi Beasley, Morgan Mosley, and Addison Shuman. 🏅 Elementary Student of the Month: Cash Creek 🏅 Middle School Student of the Month: Adilyn Birdine Congratulations to all of our students for showing perseverance and setting a great example for others! Keep up the amazing work!

Raymondville School will be closed on Monday, February 2 due to unsafe bus routes. Several areas remain covered, creating hazardous travel conditions for our buses. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding. Please stay safe.

We are so proud to recognize our students who were honored with Leadership Awards by a member of the U.S. Army at Fort Leonard Wood 🇺🇸 Zachiery Warren (left) received the Selfless Service Award for consistently putting others before himself without expecting recognition. Zachiery steps up to help classmates, supports his teachers, and always looks for ways to make life easier for those around him. Kimber Mosley (right) received the Honor Award. She lives the Army Values each and every day by showing respect to everyone, completing her duties responsibly, and demonstrating loyalty to her classmates and teachers. Molly Kell (not pictured) received the Respect Award. She treats herself and others with dignity, and her kindness, fairness, and positive attitude create an encouraging environment where classmates feel supported, morale is lifted, and everyone works better together. Congratulations to these outstanding student leaders—we are incredibly proud of you! ⭐️

The final two days before Christmas break brought extra smiles, laughter, andfun. We’re so grateful for our students and staff and wish all of our families a joyful, restful holiday. See you back on January 6th!
