We are proud to announce that Tracy Hughes has been named the new Superintendent/Principal of Raymondville R-VII School District for the 2026–2027 school year!
Mrs. Hughes is a proud Raymondville resident and brings 18 years of experience as an educator and administrator to this role. Her dedication to student achievement, strong leadership background, and commitment to serving her community make her an outstanding choice to lead our district forward.
We are excited for the vision, experience, and passion she will bring to our students, staff, and families. Please join us in welcoming Tracy Hughes as she begins this new chapter of leadership and service to Raymondville.

January Character Trait of the Month: Perseverance
During the month of January, our students focused on perseverance—pushing through challenges, staying determined, and not giving up even when things get tough. 💪✨
Teachers recognized students who demonstrated perseverance in their daily actions, and from that group, one elementary and one middle school student were selected as our Students of the Month.

Zachiery Warren (left) received the Selfless Service Award for consistently putting others before himself without expecting recognition. Zachiery steps up to help classmates, supports his teachers, and always looks for ways to make life easier for those around him.
Kimber Mosley (right) received the Honor Award. She lives the Army Values each and every day by showing respect to everyone, completing her duties responsibly, and demonstrating loyalty to her classmates and teachers.
Molly Kell (not pictured) received the Respect Award. She treats herself and others with dignity, and her kindness, fairness, and positive attitude create an encouraging environment where classmates feel supported, morale is lifted, and everyone works better together.

When students went above and beyond to show kindness, selflessness, and a giving heart, teachers recognized them with a High Flyers’ Club card. From those nominations, we select one elementary and one middle school student as Student of the Month.
